Kailua, Oʻahu — Seventeen 2nd grade students from St. John Vianney School started the Hawaii Aquatics Academy’s Aquatic Safety Education Program today. Over the next five weeks, the students will participate in two classroom lessons which focus on aquatic injury prevention topics, such as risk assessment and awareness of local hazards, and four hours of learn-to-swim lessons at the Kailua District Park Pool.
